Christine Pope’s latest SF romance, a novella based on Beauty and the Beast, is now available at Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble.com, and All Romance Ebooks. StonyHill did the cover design and ebook formatting. ARE has three formats available (PDF, EPUB, MOBI), so that’s probably the best place to get it if you don’t have a dedicated e-reader.
The Importance of Editing
There’s been quite a swirl going around the blogosphere about a self-published writer who got in a virtual shouting match with a reviewer/blogger because he (quite tactfully, actually) pointed out grammatical errors and other issues with her novel, problems that actually got in the way of the story because they were so distracting. She accused him of reviewing the “wrong” file, even though he asserted that he had downloaded the new file she indicated, and that it was just as full of mistakes as the previous version. This degenerated into a virtual dogpile, unfortunately, and came to serve as an object lesson for all writers everywhere as to exactly what not to do when responding to a negative review.
L.A. Nocturne
Katherine Tomlinson’s collection of five short stories, L.A. Nocturne, is now available in the Kindle store. The stories revolve around a much darker Los Angeles than the real-life one, a city populated by all manner of otherworldly beings. StonyHill did the cover design and e-book formatting. Often indie authors are worried about using stock images, but you don’t need to be. We guarantee that the image on your cover can be customized to make it truly one of a kind, something that will stand out even in thumbnail size.
